My name is Emily Sara Smucker. I am 19. Sometimes I wish I was younger. The older I get, the harder it is to believe that the tree is actually a magical cottage with green curtains.
I am a writer, a designer, and an actress. I can’t decide which of the three I like to do more.
The biggest accomplishment of my life so far has been writing a memoir about my experiences with chronic illness and getting it published.
I am obsessed with taking thrift store clothes (Preferably free ones. It’s awesome to have friends who work at a thrift store, so you can sift through the clothes that get thrown away!) or clothes I don’t wear much and adding embellishments or making them fit better. I’m slowly learning to sew my own clothes from scratch. Someday I would like to stop buying new clothes altogether.
I love to act, to make movies, to edit movies, and to make up skits and perform them with my friends. Someday I want to have a ministry involving drama.
I am currently at home in Oregon. I may not be here long.

I love your book! It’s pretty amazing how you go through life and never know that something so scary exists, and then you feel like “Wow!”. Okay, you can ignore that comment. It didn’t really make sense. Well, anyway, thank you for your book. It is a gift to others. And, by the way I think you’re totally awesome. I think that’s all I wanted to say… Other than the fact that I am way younger than you. Which, once again you can ignore, because it doesn’t really apply to what I am trying to say, which is that you rock!
